Pulwama, Jul 02 (KNO): Vice Chairman of the Lakes Conservation and Management Authority (LCMA), Mr. Khurshid Ahmad Shah, JKAS, on Thursday reviewed the progress of the ongoing land records digitization programme in Pulwama and directed Revenue officers to complete the exercise within the stipulated timelines while ensuring accuracy, transparency and adherence to prescribed standards.
In a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a spokesperson said Mr. Shah, who has been nominated as District Mentor for Pulwama under Government Order No. 1066-JK(GAD) of 2026 dated June 10, 2026, chaired a review meeting at the Circuit House, Pulwama.
The spokesperson said the meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Tehsildars and other Revenue officers.
“A detailed review of the Digitization of Land Records Programme was conducted during the meeting. Mr. Shah directed officers to complete all pending work within the prescribed timelines, conduct regular quality checks of digitized records, resolve field-level issues on priority, strengthen coordination among Revenue officials, and ensure regular monitoring and accountability at every level,” the spokesperson said.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Shah said the digitization of land records is a key governance initiative aimed at enhancing transparency, improving public access to land records, reducing land-related disputes and strengthening public service delivery.
He urged officers to work with dedication and coordination to achieve the programme’s targets within the stipulated timeframe—(KNO)
